How To Set Up Work Anniversary Celebrations
It’s clear that work anniversaries are an important and special moment. In our article on How To Make Work Anniversary Celebrations Special, we reported an eye-opening stat that “adopting a simple recognition program that congratulates employees on their work anniversaries can increase the average employee tenure at an organization by 2 years.” Wow!
With our work anniversary celebration feature, you can collect work anniversaries from everyone on your team and send out celebratory notifications automatically (on the day of someone’s actual anniversary). The message can include a fun celebratory GIF as well as the number of years of service from the individual (to date).
How To Set Up Work Anniversaries in Slack or Teams
To use the work anniversary celebration messages feature you’ll need to visit the “Work Anniversary” section of CultureBot’s home tab, and set up each of the following:
- Check The Box To Activate: Check the box to activate the feature.
- Select Your Channel: Select the channel(s) where you want the anniversary messages posted.
- Set Your Timing: Set when you want the messages to go out — both the hour of the day (uses your local time zone) and the day (i.e. day of anniversary, next week day, etc.)
- Collect Anniversaries: Click the “Collect Anniversaries” button to send a message out to anyone on your team who hasn’t submitted their work anniversary yet (Pro tip – you can choose to collect anniversaries in three ways – 1. sending a message to everyone 2. sending a message to select individuals, and lastly 3. adding the anniversaries yourself manually for individuals. All three options are available once you click on the “Collect Anniversaries” button).
- Edit Your Message: You have lots of customization options for the message itself.
