How to Use the Shoutout Feed in CultureBot

The Shoutout Feed is your central hub for viewing and filtering recognition across your organization. Use it to browse the latest shoutouts, review recognition history, or check leaderboard standings.

Accessing the Shoutout Feed

Note: Visibility of certain sections may depend on your organization's CultureBot permission settings.


Shoutout Feed can be viewed instantly in the web app here: https://getculturebot.com/app/shoutouts/feed

Slack

  1. Open the CultureBot app in Slack or Microsoft Teams
  2. Click the Home tab
  3. Under Shoutouts, click the  View Shoutouts Feed button

MS Teams

  1. Open the CultureBot app in Slack or Microsoft Teams
  2. Click the Shoutouts tab
  3. Select Feed

Filtering Shoutouts

The feed displays shoutouts in chronological order. Use the filters to narrow results:

  1. Audience
  • You: shoutouts you've sent and received
  • Company: all shoutouts across the organization
  • Direct Reports (managers only) — shoutouts involving your direct reports, with the option to filter by a specific individual
  1. Date Range

Filter by a preset or custom time period. The default is the past 90 days.

  1. Engagement
  • Unique Reactions: filter by reaction threshold (Any, 1+, 3+, 5+)
  • Unique Reactors: filter by how many different people reacted

Stats Panel

The panel on the right side of the feed updates based on your active filters and shows:

  • Points : toggle between points given and received
  • Shoutout Usage: total shoutouts given or received
  • Engagement Stats: total reactions and unique reactors
  • Values: which company values are being recognized most
  • Top Channels: most active channels for shoutouts
  • Leaderboard: toggle between top Givers and top Recipients
