How To Skip Weekend Anniversary Celebrations
By default, CultureBot can announce anniversaries on the exact day, even if it falls on a weekend. But sometimes teams prefer to avoid weekend notifications and instead celebrate on a weekday (like Friday or Monday). Here’s how you can adjust this setting.
Step 1: Open the Anniversary Celebrations Settings
- Go to the CultureBot app in Slack or Teams
- In Slack: Choose Anniversaries from the Feature Dropdown
- In Teams: Choose "Celebrations" from the Side Navigation and select the Anniversary Tab
Step 2: Choose When to Send
Under Select when to send, you’ll see a dropdown menu with options:
- On day of anniversary (default)
- On day of, skip weekends
- On Mondays only
- First Monday of every month

Step 3: Save Your Settings
Click Save to confirm your changes. From now on, CultureBot will automatically adjust anniversary announcements based on your chosen preference.
⚠️ Note: Only Admin users in CultureBot can adjust this setting. If you don’t see the option, contact one of your workspace admins and ask them to make the change for you. Learn more about user permissions (including how to create anniversary admins) here: Permissions Guide.
