Employee Profiles and Badges
Every employee gets a profile in the CultureBot web app, and everyone can browse the company Directory. Profiles help people put a face and a story to a name, and they collect the recognition each person has received: their badges and a summary of why teammates love working with them.
The Directory
Go to Directory in the web app to see everyone in your company. Search or filter by department, location, or manager, and click anyone to open their profile.
Everyone in your Slack or Teams workspace appears automatically. Admins can fill in titles, departments, managers, and dates by importing a spreadsheet or syncing your HR system. See Importing Employee Data into the Directory.
What's on a Profile
- People love working with [name] because… A short AI-generated summary of the shoutouts this person has received, grouped into themes.
- Personal Information: A short bio, birthday, and personal email.
- Work Information: Title, department, location, and start date.
- About Me: Skills, languages, interests, and favorite music.
- Recognition: Shoutouts received, points earned, and the badge collection.
- Team Hierarchy: Who they report to and who reports to them.
Badges
Badges come from your shoutout types. Each time someone receives a shoutout, the type they were recognized for counts toward that badge on their profile. Badges they have earned show in full color with a count, and ones they have not earned yet stay grey.

Helping Employees Fill In Their Profile
Employees open their profile from My Profile in the web app and click the edit icon on each section. Only the person can edit their own About Me and personal details. From the same page, under Notifications & Reminders, they can turn their birthday and work anniversary celebrations on or off. A good time to ask everyone to fill in their profile is at launch. Share the web app link, getculturebot.com/app/login, and ask people to add a short bio, a few interests, and their birthday. CultureBot will also send an automatic welcome message the day after you download the app asking employee to complete their profile.
For Admins: Your Company Page
Go to Company, then About, to add your mission, your values or behaviors, and the community channels and employee resource groups people can join. Everyone can see this page in the web app, which makes it a natural first stop for new hires.
