Installing CultureBot - Slack

CultureBot integrates directly with Slack so your team can start celebrating moments, sparking connection, and communicating clearly—without leaving the tools you already use every day.

Follow the steps below to install CultureBot for your Slack workspace

Prerequisites

Before installing, make sure:

  • You are a Slack workspace admin (only admins can install apps)
  • You know which Slack workspace you want to connect with CultureBot
  • Your'e signed into Slack with the correct account.

Install CultureBot

  1. Visit the CultureBot Slack App Directory Page or click "Add To Slack" from anywhere on our

    website.

  2. Select the Slack workspace where you want CultureBot installed
  3. Review the requested permissions and click Allow. Note that we only requests the access it needs to deliver features like birthday celebrations, shoutouts, and engagement reminders.

Basic Set Up Of Your Team

Once installed, you’ll be redirected to CultureBot setup. Or, navigate to CultureBot setup directly within Slack by clicking "CultureBot" under the "Apps" section of your sidebar. In the "Home" page of your CultureBot Slack App, you will see this "Setup Overview & Training Videos" section:

  1. Choose Your Admins: Choose the Slack users who will be the Main Admins for your CultureBot installation. These admins will have full access to the CultureBot app installation. There are other areas to create partial admins for specific features, which you can learn about here: CultureBot Permissions Guide, Full Admins v. Partial Admins.


  2. Set Up Your First Feature: The next step is to set up your first feature. This guide does not go through feature set-up, but you can jump to one of these sections to learn more about setting up and managing each feature set:
